Seogwipo (Jeju), South Korea

Seogwipo serves as the gateway to the stunning Jeju Island. Upon arrival, it becomes evident why Jeju is often referred to as “The Hawaii of Korea.” The majestic Mount Hallasan, a dormant volcano adorned with lush green vegetation, dominates the breathtaking landscape, which also features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and winding coastal trails. Visitors can hike up the mountain to witness the spectacular views of the crater lake near its summit or visit Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, also known as the Pond of God. The falls can be admired from the Seonimgyo arch bridge, which provides a remarkable view of the surrounding rock formations and verdant parkland. Jeju’s Jungmung Saekdal Beach is another popular destination, nestled in a secluded spot surrounded by cliffs. Alternatively, visitors can explore Seogwipo Healing Forest, which offers a serene 11 km-long forest trail through cypress and cedar trees.
